Captured at Vicksburg, paroled 15 July 1863, recaptured at Merietta, Georgia 4 January 1864.Confined at Rock Island Prison, Illinois. Paroled 20 June 1865 at Rock Island prison.

Matthew ARNOLD -  born 30 September 1847 Henry County, Ala. Enlisted 1863 at Morristown, Tennessee Co. E 60th Alabama , continued until close of the war at Appomattox Court House 12 April 1865

Andrew J. ARMSTRONG - Born 13 July 1835 Henry County, Ala. Entered service as 1st Lt. 10 May 1862 at Columbia in the 46th Alabama. Captured near Vicksburg May 1863.. Confined at Fort Delaware and discharged from Fort Delaware Prison.

Aris ARMSTRONG - Born 1 March 1836 Henry County, Ala. Entered service in the Spring of 1862 at Tolbert Church, Henry County. Co. E 60th Alabama. Paroled 1 May 1865 at Appomattox Court House.

Armstead ARMSTRONG - Born 8 January 1841, entered service 11 May 1861 at Abbeville, Ala. Co. B 6th Alabama. Captured at Petersburg, Virginia confined at Point Lookout Prison, Maryland. Paroled July 1865 at Point Lookout Prison.

Thomas BAKER - Born 1827 Jones County, Georgia. Enlisted 1862 at Fort Gaines, Georgia. Co. E 6th Alabama . Captured at Appomattox Court House 1865.
Paroled 9 April 1865.

Jack BALL - Born 1845 in Early County, Georgia. Entered service at Blakely, Georgia in 1862. Georgia Regiment, Dunwoody Company. Continued until close of the war May 1865.

Andrew J. BELLEW - Born 1848 Muscogee County, Georgia. Entered service 1864 at Columbus, Georgia. 64th Georgia Regiment. Imprisoned six monthes at Governor's Island and was paroled there.

William S. BEDSOLE - Born 1847 Barbour County, Ala. Entered service 2 August 1862 at Knoxville, Tennessee in Kolb's Battery. Paroled at Augusta, Georgia 1 May 1865.

Virginius BERRY - Born 1846 Hancock County, Georgia. Entered service 1864 at Abbeville, Alabama in Captain Lawrence Company Infantry and continued until discharged at Troy, Alabama 1864. Joined Chisholm Company at Marianna, Florida.

Daniel F. BEASLEY - Born 1825 in Barbour County, Ala. Enlisted as 2nd Sgt. 1862 at Louisville, Ala. in the 45th Alabama Co. A. Captured at Franklin, Tennessee. Discharged June 1865.

Stephen BEDSOLE - Born 16 January ? in North Carolina. Enlisted 1862 at Eufaula, Alabama in Kolb's Battery. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Augusta, Georgia in April 1865.

Eli BLANKENSHIP - Born Warren County, Georgia. Enlisted 1862 at Mobile, Alabama in the 17th Alabama Co. A. Capyured at Nashville and confined at Camp Douglas Prison, Illinois until 28 January 1865 then paroled. Wounded in Atlanta 28 July 1864, furloughed for 60 days and returned in 90 days.

Edward BLACKLIDGE - Born 2 December 1824 in Cumberland County, North Carolina. Enlisted 10 September 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. 29th Alabama Co. D. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Macon, Georgia May 1865.

Elisha W. BLANKENSHIP - Born 18 September 1839 in Warren County, Georgia. Enlisted 13 March 1862 at Clopton, Ala. 33rd Alabama Co. D Continued until April 1865. Furloughed at Columbus, Georgia and never returned.

Thomas BLOUNT - Born 15 July 1836 in Hancock County, Georgia. Entered service in 1862 at Columbus, Georgia in the 3rd Georgia Cavalry Co I. Captured 6 April 1865 near Swift Creek, Virginia. Paroled 6 May 1865 at Richmond, Virginia.

John F. BOND - Born 20 December 1826 in Jones County, Georgia. Enlisted 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. Alabama Regiment Clanton's Brigade, continued until 30 days.

John M. BOATWRIGHT - Born 13 March 1826 Chesterfield District, S.C.  Enlisted 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. 6th Alabama Cavalry, Clanton's Brigade. Continued until close of the war. Discharged at Vicksburg, Mississippi 1865.

Jackson W. BOYD - Born 27 December 1844 in Calhoun County, Florida. Entered service in winter 1864 at Daleville, Ala. Co. B ?

James BRADLEY - Born 1843 in Montgomery, Ala. Entered service 1861 at Fort Deposit in the 23rd Alabama Co. F continued until close of the war. Paroled near Atlanta, Georgia May 1865.

William F. BROWN - Born 1834 at Montgomery, Ala. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. 37th Alabama Co. H . Captured 1863 at Missionary Ridge. Confined at Rock Island Prison, Ilinois. Paroled from Rock Island Prison May 1865.

Jesse D. BROWN - Born 15 March 1841 Randolph County, Georgia. Entered service 4 March 1862 at Eufaula, Ala. In the Clark Artillery, Eufaula Artillery and continued until the fall of 1862 transferred to R.F. Kolb's Artillery until the close of the war. Paroled at Augusta, Georgia May 1865.

Jasper BRANNON - Born 12 September 1844 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in 1862 in Dale County, Ala. 37th Alabama Co. E.Transferred in 1863 to 33rd Alabama Co. B . Captured 22 July 1864 Confined at Camp Douglas Prison, Illinois . Paroled 17 June 1865.

Smith CULP - Born 1 April 1840 at Dover, Fayette County, Missouri. . Entered service at Montgomery, Ala. in 1861. Co. E 6th Alabama. Discharged in 1862 in Virginia and joined Co I 46th Alabama. James B. CHAMBERS SR - Born 1846 Shorterville, Ala. Entered service at Gordon, Ala. Florida Regiment and continued until close of the war. Discharged at Marianna, Florida May 1865.

Simeon CUMMINGS - Born 1820 in S.C. Entered service in 1862 at Franklin, Ala. 5th Georgia Co. E. Was discharged at close of the war at Macon, Georgia. He was captured in Georgia.

William CULPEPPER - Born 1845 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in 1864 at Jones Hill, Ala. 37th Alabama Co. B. in Captain Grace's Company. Served until close of the war. Was never discharged.

Thomas D. DAVIS - Born 10 February 1832 at Warren County, Georgia. Entered service  in 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. 20th Georgia Co. A. Transferred to the 3rd Alabama Battalion after service in 60th Georgia Co. A and 60th Alabama Co. B. Was captured and paroled at Macon, Georgia in 1865.

Henry M. DAVIS - Born 4 October 1838 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in May 1861 in 6th Alabama Co. B. Was wounded in winter 1862, resigned and came home. Re-enlisted in the fall of 1863 at Marianna, Florida in the Chisholm Cavalry. Came home on furlough and was home at the close of the war.

Joe I. DAVIS - Born 1849 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1 April 1865 at Shorterville, Ala. in the Home Guard and continued until close of the war. Never discharged.

James M. DAVIS - Born 1844 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in 1862 at Richmond, Virginia in the 6th Alabama Co. B. Continued until close of the war.

Albert Lee DAVIS - Born 4 July 1845 in Randolph County, Georgia. Entered service October 1864 at Montgomery, Ala. in the Johnson Company State Guards. Continued until March 1865. Was home on furlough at surrender.

Joseph DAVIS - Born 18 August 1841 in Twiggs County, Georgia. Entered service in 1862 at Clayton, Ala. 39 Alabama Co. B. Wounded at Chicamauga, Tennessee, came home and never returned. Did not know what year.

Thomas D. DAVIS - Born 21 May 1841 in Houston County, Georgia. Entered service in May 1862 at Macon, Georgia in the 66th Georgia Co. A. Continued until paroled 26 April 1865 at Greensboro, N.C.

John A. DOUGLASS - Born 1838 in Stewart County, Georgia. Entered service in 1861 in Henry County, Ala. In the 46th Alabama Co. I. Captured January 1865. Discharged at close of war.

Andrew J. ELLIOTT - Born 31 December 1832 in Randolph County, Georgia. Entered service 10 May 1862 at Columbia, Ala. Discharged at Brayer's Crossroads, in Tennessee.

James ELKINS - Born 1830 in Marion County, Georgia. Entered service in 1863 at Balkum, Henry County, Ala. in Fowler's Company. Discharged May 1865.

Daniel ENFINGER - Born 1843 in Dale County, Ala. Entered service in 1862 at Clopton, Ala in the 32nd Alabama Co. B. Continued until close of the war. Discharged at Hamburg, S.C.

Joseph S. ESPY - Born 18 January 1844 in Tallapoosa County, Ala. Entered service in March 1862 at Eufaula, Ala. Served in the Eufaula Light Artillery until close of the war. Paroled at Appomattox Court House 1865.

Robert M. ESPY - Born 29 August 1833 in Tallapoosa County, Ala.. Entered service on 28 July 1861 at Eufaula, Ala. in the 15th Alabama Co. K. Captured 29 October 1863. Confined at Camp Morton, Indiana, discharged 12 June 1865 at Camp Morton.

Thomas F. ESPY - Born 3 December 1835 in Coosa County, Ala. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. 39th Alabama Co. G. Served until close of the war. Paroled at Appomattox Court House, Va. Wounded in forehead, one finger shot off.

Henry A. ETHRIDGE - Born 21 June 1846 in Stewart County, Georgia. Entered service April 1862 at Brannon Stand, Ala. In the 25th Georgia Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Augusta, Georgia May 1865.

Robert FARMER - Born Barbour County, Ala. Entered service  in 1862 at Clayton, Ala. in the 39th Alabama Co. B. Captured in the fall of 1864 at Nashville, Tennessee . Confined at Camp Douglas, Illinois.

Sinous D. FARMER - Born 18 December 1833 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service at Shorterville, Ala. in 1862. 20th Georgia Co. E. Captured at Nashville. Confined at Camp Douglas, Illinois. Paroled at Camp Douglas in 1865.

William Y. FLEMING - Born 1833 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. in the 20th Georgia Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Macon, Georgia May 1865.

George L. FLEMING - Born 1839 in Coffee County, Ala. Entered service 8 August 1861 at Franklin, Henry County, Ala. 3rd Regiment Virginia Company until December 1861, transferred to 25th Georgia Co. B. Continued until May 1862. Re-enlisted  as Sgt. March 1862 at Savannah, Georgia in the 25th Georgia Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Silasbury, N.C.

James W. GALLOWAY - Born 30 November 1838 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in September 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. 8th Alabama Co. F. Continued until wounded and captured  and placed in the hospital 4 July 1864. Imprisoned at Baltimore, Maryland. Exchanged at Fortress Monroe, Virginia. Never Discharged.

Thomas A. GAMBLE - Born 24 June 1844 in Coffee County, Ala. Entered service 8 August 1861 at Shorterville, Ala. in the 5th Virginia Luft Legion , continued until June of 1862. Moved to Richmond and to Savannah 2 January and furloughed 15 days. Re-enlisted 15 January 1862 at Savannah in the 25 Georgia Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Silasbury, N.C. 19 April 1865.

Thomas E. GIBSON - Born in 1836 in Jones County, Georgia. Entered service in 1861 at Columbia, Ala. 4th Alabama Co. I. continued until close of the war. Paroled at Silasbury, N.C.

James I. GILDER - Born 20 December 1847 at Randolph County, Georgia. Entered service in the Finley Battalion Company C. in June 1863 at Morgan, Georgia. Continued until close of the war. Discharged May 1865 at Macon, Georgia.

Dempsey GRIFFIN - Born 15 July 1837 in Dubhunor, N.C.  Entered service in 1861 at Ozark, Ala. in the 33rd Alabama Co. I. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Dalton, Georgia.

John GRIFFIN - Born 12 October 1843 in Hener County, Ala. Entered service on 1 March 1862 at Abbeville. In the 37th Alabama Co. A. Captured at Vicksburg, Mississippi 4 July 1863. Re-enlisted at Demopolis, Ala. September 1863. In the 37th Alabama Co. A. Continued until close of the war. Discharged 26 April 1865.

Bryant G. GRIFFIN - Born 1825 in N.C. Entered service 1 February 1865 39th Alabama Co. G. Continued until he surrendered at Greensboro, N.C. 2 May 1865.

Allen W. HAM - Born 29 March 1829 at Crawford, Georgia. Entered service May 1862 at Clayton, Ala. Continued until discharged due to wounds at Laurel Springs, Mississippi. 60 days at Laurel Springs 24 March 1865.

Francis W. HARDY - Born 1842 in Randolph County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville in the 39 Alabama Co. D. Captured at Nashville 10 December 1864. Confined at Camp Douglas Prison, Illinois. Paroled 27 April 1865 and went to the frontier, discharged 1866 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

John HAYWOOD - Born 1825 at Smith, Virginia. Entered service 1862 at Lawrenceville, Ala. in the 37th Alabama Co. A. Continued until close of the war. Discharged at Appalachicola, Florida.

John D. HAY -(Hays?) Born 5 August 1840 in Randolph County, Georgia. Entered service 1 July 1861 at Cuthbert, Georgia in the 13 Georgia Co. E. Paroled at Appomattox Court House at surrender.

James J. HAYES - Born 1825 in Shorterville, Ala. Entered service in 1861 at Albany, Georgia in the 18th Georgia Co. O. Continued until discharged 1865 at Richmond, Virginia.

William M. HARDWICK - Born 4 February 1832 in Jasper County, Georgia. Entered service in 1861 at Cedar Bluff, Ala. In the 7th Alabama Co. H. Participated in the Battle of Corinth. Mustered out the next day. Re-enlisted at Auburn, Ala. in the 48th Alabama Co. H. Captured at Sharpsburg, Maryland , confined in prison at Baltimore. Exchanged and went back to same company and regiment. Captured at Lookout Mountain, Tennessee  confined at Johnson Island Prison, Ohio for four months. Paroled April 1865, was made Lieutenant of the 48th Alabama Co. H. three days after the Battle of Manassas and was a Colonel at the close of the war.

James H. HARDWICK - Born 8 April 1841 in Jasper County, Georgia. Entered service 1861 at Eufaula, Ala. in Clark"s Artillery. Continued until the close of the war. Discharged at Meridian, Mississippi May 1865.

Judge I. HARRIS - Born 6 March 1846 in Houston County, Georgia. Entered service 10 March 1864 at Dalton, Georgia in the 45th Alabama Co. K. Continued until wounded in right arm and was sent home and never returned.

Thomas J. HAWKINS - Born 2 August 1829 in Pike County, Ala. Entered service 4 April 1862 at Eufaula, Ala. in the 39th Alabama Co. K.  Continued until May 1865. Paroled at Laurel Springs, Mississippi.

Angus HARP - Born 23 September 1833 in Monroe County, Georgia. Entered service in 1862 at West Point, Georgia in the 8th Alabama Co. D. Wounded 22 July 1863. Captured after being wounded 2 July 1863 at Gettysbury, Pennsylvania.

John D. HENDLEY - Born September 1841 Henry County, Ala. Entered service May 1862 at County Line, Henry-Barbour in the 15th Alabama Co. K. Captured at Winchester, Virginia May 1863, transferred to Fort Monroe, exchanged and went back to the company. Captured at Gettysburg 3 July 1863. Confined at Point Lookout, Maryland. Paroled and came home, re-enlisted before the war ended.

Joseph Z. HENDLEY - Born 1848 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1862  in the 6th Alabama was never mustered in. Came home in three weeks , re-enlisted 1864 in the Montgomery State Troops, Stayed with the State Militia until close of the war.

Thomas H. HICKMAN - Born 1843 at Randolph County, Georgia. Entered service 1861 at Franklin, Henry County, Ala.  In the 25th Georgia Co. E. and continued until close of the war. Paroled in Henry County in 1867. Company organized by John Lawson Irwin.

Irvin HIX - Born 10 December 1841 at Abbeville, Henry County, Ala. Entered service 27 May 1861 10th Alabama Co. G. Conyinued until August 1864.

Jordan HOLLAND - Born 4 May 1840 in Edgefield District, S.C. Entered service 1863 at Abbeville in the Lt. Weems Company. Continued until close of the war. Paroled but does not remember the place.

Stephen HERRING - Born 22 July 1836 at Barbour County, Ala. Entered service March 1862 at Clayton, Ala. in Kolb"s Battery, continued six months and discharged at Knoxville, Tennessee. Re-enlisted in January 1863 at Troy, Ala. in the Jeff Davis Legion, Hampton Cavalry and continued until April 1865. Paroled at Greensboro, N.C.

William H. HERRING - Born 21 June 1843 in Hanover County, N.C. Entered service 10 March 1862 at Clintonville, Ala. in the 57th Alabama Co. G.  Captured December 1864 at Egypt Station , Mississippi. Paroled in March 1865.

Thomas HODGES - Born 1833 at Dooley County, Georgia. Entered service in 1862 at Tolbert Church, Henry County in the 6th Alabama Co. E. Captured 31 March 1865. Paroled 10 June at Point Lookout Prison, Maryland.

John G. HOLLEY - Born 1 August 1847 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1863 at Abbeville in the 6th Alabama Co. E. Continued until the Surrender. Paroled Selma, Alabama 27 May 1865.

Thomas J. HOWERTON - Born 16 June 1848 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1864 at Talladega, Ala. in the 6th Alabama Cavalry Clayton Brigade. Continued until 30 March 1865 . Detailed to bring Captain McRae's horses home after he was captured. Never returned. Captain James McRae 1820-1891 of Shorterville, Ala.

John S. HUTTO - Born 25 September 1846 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 2 July 1862 at Blue Mountain, Ala. in the 6th Alabama Cavalry Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Abbeville, Ala. May 1865.

William O. JACKSON - Born 1825 at Macon, Georgia. Entered service 1861 at Columbia, Ala. in the 45th Alabama Co. I. Captured at Baker Creek 1862. Paroled two months later at Fort Delaware. Re-enlisted 1862 in Tennessee. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Silasbury, N.C.

Cornelious JOHNSON - Born April 1845 in Henry County, Ala. Entered Service 1862 in the 39th Alabama Co. G. Continued until the Surrender. Paroled at Greensboro, N.C. April 1865.

John W. JOHNSON - Born 1840 in Richmond, N.C. Entered service 27 July 1861 at Abbeville in the 15th Alabama Co. G. Continued until this regiment was discharged in 1862. Alex T. JOHNSON - Born 1832 at Louisville, Barbour County, Ala. Entered service 27 July 1861 at Abbeville in the 15th Alabama Co. D. Continued until April 1862, transferred to 53rd Alabama Co. E. and remained until close of the war. Paroled at Augusta, Georgia.

Charles S. JOHNS - Born 1831 at Lawrenceville, Georgia. Entered Service 15 April 1861 at Campbellton, Florida in the 4th Florida Co. E. Discharged October 1862. Re-enlisted October 1862 at Ozark, Ala.  in the 33rd Alabama Co. E. Continued until close of the war.

William W. KELLY - Born 1842 in Habersham County, Georgia. Entered service  in Butler County August 1862 in the 27th Georgia Co. F. Continued until July 1865. Paroled.

Berry KING - Born October 1845 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service October 1862 at County Line (Henry-Barbour) in the 37th Alabama Co. H. Captured February 1865 at Silasbury, N.C. Discharged from prison at Winchester, Virginia June 1865.

William W. KIRKLAND - Born 1830 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1861 at Franklin, Henry County, Ala. ?? Alabama Co. A. Continued until 2 April 1865.

Francis M. KIRKLAND - Born 1843 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service and continued until 9 April 1865, captured and paroled at Appomattox Court House.

William J. KIRKLAND - Born 1847 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service August 1861 at Abbeville. In the 62nd or 63rd Alabama Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Wounded at Spanish Fort near Mobile. Discharged at Columbus, Mississippi.

Seymour KIRKLAND - Born 23 March 1845 in Abbeville, Ala. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. Served in State Militia Home Guards. Captured October 1864 and released at once, came home and served in Home Guard until April 1865.

Allan A. KIRKLAND - Born 1842 in Abbeville. Entered service July 1861 at Abbeville, Ala. In the 15th Alabama Co. G. Continued until 9 April 1865 Paroled at Appomattox Court House. Never left the Regiment for anything, never furloughed.

Samuel J. KNOWLES - Born 26 March 1835 in Newton County, Georgia. Entered service as Lieutenant in 1863 at Abbeville in Hilliard's Legion, 60th Alabama Co. A.  Discharged 1864 at Chatanooga, Tennessee. Captain in the Home Guard from 1864 to the close of the war.

John W. LANGFORD - Born 16 September 1847 in Georgia. Entered service as Home Guard January 1865 at Barnes Crossroads in Barnes Company and continued until close of the war.

John W. LEE - Born 1849 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in January 1861 at Barnes Crossroads and conyinued in Barnes Company until close of the war.(He was a M.D. a descendent  of the distinguished Lee family of Virginia)

William J. LEE - Born 1838 in Chambers County, Ala. Entered service in January 1862 at Hawridge, Coffee County, Ala. in the 33rd Alabama , Captain of Co. K. Was wounded at Franklin, Tennessee, captured 30 November 1864. Confined at Camp Chase Prison, Ohio. Paroled from Camp Chase.

George W. LEWIS - Born 1842 in Tolbert County, Georgia. Entered service in 1861 at Franklin, Henry County, Ala. in the 25th Geargia, Co. E. Continued until close of the war at Macon, Georgia May 1865.

Drew LISENBY - Born 1846 in Bibb County, Georgia. Entered service 1862  at Abbeville in Hilliard's Ligeon Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Cuthbert, Georgia.

Joseph I. LOCKE - Born 1831 in Georgia. Entered service in 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. Served in the State Militia until close of the war. Never mustered out.

John T. LOVE - Born 6 October 1843 at Washington County, Georgia. Entered service 20 February 1861 at Fort Gaines, Georgia in the George P. Harrison Regiment Co. C. Continued until May 1862 at Savannah, Georgia. Re-enlisted August of 1862 in Henry County in the 7th Confederate Cavalry until close of the war. Paroled at Macon, Georgia May 1865.

Matthew W. LYNN - Born 1843 in Jasper County, Georgia. Entered service in 1861 at Blue Springs, Barbour County, Ala. in the 15th Alabama Co. H. Continued until the Surrender. Paroled at Appomattox Court House April 1865.

Julius W. MALONE - Born 1832 at Penfield, Greene County, Georgia. Entered service March 1862 at Charlston, S.C. in the 57th Georgia Co. C. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Appomattox Court House April 1865.

James M. MELVIN - Born 22 March 1844 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 8 May 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. in the 15th Alabama Co. G. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Appomattox Court House 9 April 1865.

William H. PARKER - Born 7 September 1845 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1862 at Gordon, Ala. in the 37th Alabama Co. E. Captured at the fall of Vicksburg. Paroled after the Surrender at Vicksburg, Mississippi.

William F. PARKER - Born 10 April 1840 in Macon, Tennessee. Entered service March 1861 at Gallatin, Tennessee in the 2nd Tennessee Co. I. Continued until transferring to Emerging Corps in 1863 and remained until March 1865, leave of absence, on sick leave at close of the war.

Christopher Thomas PARAMORE - Born 26 July 1837 in Quitman County, Georgia. Entered service March 1862 at Eufaula, Ala. in the Eufaula Light Artillery. Continued until May 1865. Discharged at Meridian, Mississippi.

Giles J. PEACOCK - Born 4 April 1833 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in 1862 at Abbeville in the 39th Alabama Co. D. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Greensboro, N.C.

John PAYNE - Born 1847 in Barbour County, Ala. Entered service in 1862 at Skipperville, Ala. in the 39th Alabama Co. C. Continued until 15 December 1864, imprisoned at Nashville, Tennessee. Paroled from Point Lookout Prison, Maryland 6 June 1865.

Daniel PEACOCK - Born 1828 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in 1862 at Abbeville in the 39th Alabama Co. D. Continued until 1865. He was taker sick and never discharged.

Daniel H. PELHAM - Born February 1831 in Sumter County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville in the 39th Alabama Co. D. Paroled at Appomattox Court House April 1865.

William A. PELHAM - Born 1848 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1864 in Captain Fowler's Company State Troops, continued until close of the war.

Calvin C. PENUEL - Born 1846 in Houston County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Macon, Georgia in the 39th Alabama, Stanford Company. Captured at Greensboro, N.C. Paroled or discharged the same day.

John W. PENUEL - Born 27 October 1841 in Houston County, Georgia. Entered service 15 May 1862 at Lawrenceville, Ala. in the 39th Alabama Co. G. Continued until May 1864.

Christian PENUEL - Born 27 October 1841 in Houston County, Georgia. Entered service 1863 at Lawrenceville, Ala. in the 39th Alabama Co. G. Continued until he came home on furlough in 1865.
( Apparently John and Christian  Penuel are twins)

William A. PORTER - Born 1838 in Wilkerson County, Georgia. Entered service in 1862 at Mobile, Ala. in the 17th Alabama Co. G. Continued until close of the war. Paroled May 1865 in N.C.

Americus B. PRICE - Born 1848 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1865 at Lawrenceville, Ala. in the State Militia. Continued until close of the war. Never discharged.

Arthur C. PRICE - Born September 1845 in Lawrenceville, Ala. Entered service in 1862 at County Line Church in the 37th Alabama Co. H. Continued until close of the war.

Ben QUADDLEBAUM - Born 1843 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1863 at Abbeville in the 69th Alabama , Grace Company . Continued until close of the war. Can't remember anything about the Surrender.

Ezekiel QUADDLEBAUM - Born 1847 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in 1864 at Abbeville in the 69th Alabama. Continued until the Surrender. Discharged at Abbeville, Ala.

Everatus ROLAND - Born 27 July 1827 in Warren County, Georgia. Entered service in 1863 at Columbus, Georgia. (Does not remember company) Discharged 1864 at Atlanta, Georgia.

John RONEY - Born 18 July 1836 in Thomas County, Georgia. Entered service April 1862 at Abbeville in the 25th Georgia Co. E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Augusta, Georgia May 1865.

William J. SCARBROUGH - Born 3 April 1846 in Sumter County, Georgia. Entered service April 1863 at Tuskegee, Ala. in the 61st Alabama Co. A. Captured 1 April 1865. Confined at Point Lookout Prison, Maryland. Paroled 9 June 1865.

Washington M. SCOTT - Born 3 January 1845 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1863 at Montgomery, Ala. in the 6th Alabama Cavalry Co. C. Continued until close of the war. Paroled fall of 1864 at Macon, Georgia.
 
Angus M. SCOTT - Born 23 March 1849 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1862 at Franklin, Henry County in the 25th Georgia Co. E. Wounded in the Battle of Atlanta, furloughed and never returned. Joined John Lawson Irvin's company, later Captain in Holmes Company.
 
Joseph B.C. SEARCY - Born 8 February 1846 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 26 August 1863 at Eufaula, Ala. in the 29th Alabama Co. G. Continued until close of the war. Surrendered at Appomattox Court House 9 April 1865.

Abraham B. SKIPPER - Born July 1848 in Abbeville, Ala. Entered service in the 15th Alabama Co. G in January 1863 at Richmond, Virginia and continued until the close of the war. Discharged at Appomattox, Virginia.
 
Henry SMITH - Born 1833 in Barbour County, Ala. Entered service in January 1864 at County Line in the 37th Alabama Co. H. Continued until the Battle of New Hope Church, lost an arm, came home and never returned.
 
Jacob E. SMITH - Born 1827 in North Carolina. Entered service in 1861 in Virginia in the 21st Virginia, Co. A. Captured at Vicksburg 18 August 1863. Discharged next day and went back to Kemper's Artillery.
 
Ben. F. SMITH - Born 23 September 1826 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service in 1862 at Headland in the 46th Alabama Co. I. Captured at Nashville 1864 confined at Camp Chase Prison, Ohio. Discharged from Camp Chase.
 
Benjamin F. SMITH - Born 1828 in Lowndes County, Ala. Entered service 1863 at Bungiville, Ala. in the William Petty Company  and continued in the State Guards. Went to Florida, was furloughed by General Clanton and was home at the close of the war.
 
Needham SMITH - Born 1817 in Washington County, Georgia. Entered service 1861 at Opelika, Ala. in the 37th Alabama Co. H. Captured at Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. Confined 16 months at Rock Island Prison, Illinois. Paroled March 1865.
 
Robert G. SAWELL - Born 1831 in the Kershaw District, S.C. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville in the 10th Alabama Cavalry Co. H. Continued until April 1865. Paroled (does not remember ) Surrendered at Greensboro, N.C.
 
Raiford M. SPANN - Born 29 March 1826 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1 March 1862 or 1863 at Abbeville. In ?? Alabama Co. B. continued until end of the war, Richmond, Virginia.
 
John H. SPIVEY - Born 25 July 1844 in Sumter County, Georgia. Entered service 1 July 1861 at Americus, Georgia in the 11th Georgia Artillery Co. C. Continued until 9 April 1865. Paroled at Appomattox Court House, Va.
 
Ruel W. STANLEY - Born 27 November 1846 in Maine. Entered service at Marianna, Florida in the POV Company Reserves. Continued until close of the war.
 
Henry Frison STOKES - Born 3 October 1845 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 18 December 1863 at Abbeville in the 60th Alabama Co. E. continued until  12 April 1865 at Appomattox Court House, Va.
 
Christopher STONE - Born 1842 in Barbour County, Ala. Entered service July 1861 at Abbeville. Captured at Gettysburg. Confined at Fort Delaware Prison . Paroled June 1865 at Fort Delaware Prison.
 
David TAYLOR - Born 7 May 1835 in Sumter County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Montgomery, Ala. in the 60th Alabama Co. A or E. Continued until close of the war. Paroled at Appomattox Court House, Va.
 
Seaborn TAYLOR - Born 10 July 1842 in Sumter County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Montgomery, Ala. in the 60th Alabama Co. A or E. Continued until 13 January 1865 at Petersburg, Virginia. Came home on furlough one day before the Surrender.
 
Thomas A. FRANCK - Born 1844 in Henry County, Ala. Entered service 1861 at Abbeville in the 6th Alabama Co. A. Continued until January 1865, wounded at Winchester, Virginia. Furloughed  and came home, never returned before the Surrender.
 
Aaron F. TURNER - Born 1844 in Muscogee County, Georgia. Entered service 1862 at Abbeville, Ala. in the Home Guards, Laney's Company and continued until the close of the war. Never mustered out.
 
NOTE FROM JAN:
This is all I have on the 1907 CSA Veterans. I have no knowledge of how this information was gathered on these few Veterans.  Many moved to Texas and other parts west, some had died by 1907.  Maybe some were just not available to take part in this census.
